From A Distance

Posted by

Rawene on Sunday afternoon in October.
If I may comment on this image. From a distance seemed echoed by three aspects of this shot which I didnt see until looking at the composition.
There is the darkened window where the watcher can watch unobserved and distant. There is the boat that is obviously an ocean crossing/going craft, then in the horizon is the cell phone tower. Each one conceptually moves closer in some ways as they get further away. For example, there is no intimacy really behind the darkened window, there is the wait for arrival with the yatch, but with the cell ph you can be far far away but have the person in your ear very close.......just some thoughts on why i like this image......

this will give a wider perspective on my mainly analogue and sometimes digital love affair with all things photography. I am often months behind what I am really doing on Aminus3 and I must confess to falling off the daily wagon for some time in 2017. You may find some articles I have written on Ipernity (and they are old too)but you may find interesting. I am enjoying trying to get back into Animus3 this year after that getting off the daily image treadmill time, which one can end up with one posting meaningless images just because you are addicted and want to be in that image number bracket.
