A composite image of silver gelatin paper negatives, paper textures, scanned and blended.
Original image was a 35mm silver gelatin paper negative taken on a Zenit with a Hellios 44-2 lens on extension tubes. The texture was a piece of silver gelatin photo paper that was a failure and through onto the stainless steel tub where the chemicals oxidised and did their thing..........I love those old bits of paper......so I scan them and use them as textures. So all this was analogue birth, processed and blended digitally. I love the end result and the feelings it evokes on a whole variety of levels.

this will give a wider perspective on my mainly analogue and sometimes digital love affair with all things photography. I am often months behind what I am really doing on Aminus3 and I must confess to falling off the daily wagon for some time in 2017. You may find some articles I have written on Ipernity (and they are old too)but you may find interesting. I am enjoying trying to get back into Animus3 this year after that getting off the daily image treadmill time, which one can end up with one posting meaningless images just because you are addicted and want to be in that image number bracket.
@Lili: Thanks very much........its one of my fav images..........and love that its analogue in birth........and kissed by digital technology
@Calusarus: Merci............yes I like being able to build on that analogue birth. Love analogue
@Ol: Thankyou.........I find the expression rather thoughtful, especially when the miniature soldier it ios taken from has a blade raised to kill someone. I like knowing how people did images too.........the analogue process takes a while......but I love it. Mistakes like the oxidised paper can all become something..............glad you like the detail too.......
@KriKridesign: Thankyou very much for sharing your thoughts and your goodness. Yes I love what I do and its all about the different ways you can get images with emulsions.........and emulsions are way more beautiful than the click of a button. Yes I do blend old and new technologies, but the birth is analogue and that makes all the difference. Thankyou for seeing me and what I do. You comment encourages me that there are people like you out there.............have a neat Christmas
